Is Hyvop really self-hosted?
Yes, Hyvop deploys entirely on your own Kubernetes cluster using your own LLM keys. Analytics, detection, and remediation all run inside your environment, and nothing is exported unless you explicitly share it. Customers who'd rather not run the infrastructure themselves can choose Hyvop Cloud, the same platform as a single-tenant managed instance in your region.
How is Hyvop different from AWS Cost Explorer or a visibility dashboard?
Hyvop executes the fix; Cost Explorer only reports the waste. Visibility tools like Cost Explorer show which resources are wasting money. Hyvop ingests that same signal, identifies the resource owner, runs the Slack/Teams approval conversation, and calls the cloud provider's API to execute the fix, the step visibility tools leave entirely manual.
What happens if the Hyvop agent makes a mistake?
The agent cannot act without explicit human approval. An Owner must decide the action and a Manager must approve it before anything destructive executes. Every step is logged with who approved it, when, and from where, making mistakes traceable and reversible by design rather than by luck.
Is Hyvop Community Edition actually free, or is it a trial?

Does Hyvop ever get access to our cloud credentials?
No, Hyvop only uses scoped, least-privilege IAM roles that the customer creates and controls. It never stores long-term credentials and never reads data inside databases, storage, or workloads.
