What differs in the Enterprise Edition#
The Enterprise Edition has its own guide at https://hyvop.com/docs/enterprise: external databases, single sign-on,
the Enterprise ingestors and the licence. This page is only the short list of what is different, so that you know what
you will not find in the Community guide. The table of every edition and what each allows is in editions.md.
An install is the Community Edition unless it holds a verified licence key. The edition is decided by core from that key alone; nothing in the chart or in an environment variable unlocks a feature.
Licence#
Hyvop is proprietary software. The Community edition is free to use. The source code is not published.
What the Enterprise Edition adds#
| Community | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud accounts | 1 | no limit |
| Resources per scan | 1,000 | no limit |
| Active remediation policies | 3 | no limit |
| Retention | 30 days | no limit |
| Remediation | Preview: a plan is written and shown, nothing is changed | Autopilot: changes within policy are carried out without a person |
| Approval requests | Shown, not mailed (approvals.md) | Mailed, reminded and escalated |
| Ticketing (Jira, ServiceNow) | no | yes |
| Single sign-on (OIDC) | no | yes |
| Ingestors: AWS, Azure, GCP | yes | yes |
| Ingestor: Kubernetes | no (it comes with Pro and Enterprise) | yes |
| Ingestors: Databricks, Snowflake, AI platforms | no | yes |
| Realized-savings verification | no | yes |
| Finance-grade audit trail | no | yes |
Azure and GCP are in the Community Edition: what an edition limits is how many cloud accounts it connects, not which cloud. The Starter and Pro tiers lie between the two; editions.md gives all four.
What stays the same#
The chart, the way it is installed, the permission model, the API (api.md) and the model settings (models.md) are not edition-specific: what an edition changes is the table above.
